I grew up watching shows like Counting Cars and Leepu & Pitbull. Those shows weren't just about cars, they were about passion, creativity, and the connection between the people building them. Our generation shares a deep bond with cars that goes beyond just driving. It's about dreaming, designing, and building something unique.
The question that kept coming back was simple:
What if we could make it possible for anyone, anywhere, to build their dream vehicle?
Not a toy. Not a poster. An actual car, or at least a stunning scale model of one, built with your own hands in your own garage.
The inspiration came from car buck sellers and digital file stores on Facebook, where people showed that with just cardboard and a home printer, you could start building cars. That blew my mind. People were actually doing it, printing templates, cutting cardboard, shaping body panels in their living rooms.
But it was scattered. A PDF here, a YouTube video there, someone's random Facebook group. There was no single place that brought together the models, the tools, the guidance, and the community. That's the gap.
Print Your Vehicle is the answer to that gap. A platform where anyone can access software, 3D models, and guidance to make this dream a reality. We're making the complex technology involved in this process obsolete to just a few clicks, so users can focus on the build.
This isn't just about cars. It's about what happens when you build one.
Imagine a father and son bringing a dream project to life together. Or a group of friends working on the ultimate DIY car. The memories you make during the build, you can't put a price on that.
In places where custom cars are a luxury, DIY options make it possible for everyone to dream big. A 3D printer and some filament is all you need to start.
Every model free. Every tool open source. This isn't a company gating your hobby behind a paywall. It's a community project built in the open.
We've built the largest open-source library of accurate car meshes, 600+ models extracted from video games, each based on 1:1 real car scans. Every panel gap, every badge, every body line is accurate.
The catch right now? These are triangle meshes, they look perfect but can't be printed directly. They need to be converted into printable geometry. That's the hard problem we're solving. Some of it is being done manually by the community, and we're simultaneously researching automated pipelines to do it at scale.
We already have a few models fully converted and ready to print, thanks to generous people from the 3D printing car community on Facebook who donated their converted files for this project. Without them, we'd still be staring at unprintable triangles. More models are coming as the community grows and our tools improve.
Right now it's scale models. But the long-term vision hasn't changed from day one:
Phase 1 (now): Build the mesh library. Get the community printing scale models. Prove the conversion pipeline works.
Phase 2: Automate mesh-to-print conversion at scale. Every car that's ever been scanned becomes instantly printable.
Phase 3: The software layer. A proper desktop app where you pick a car, configure scale and material, and it spits out print-ready files with assembly guides. Plug in brand collabs, community designs, and marketplace features. Make the whole process one-click simple.
Phase 4: 🤫 Founder's secret. Will be told later.
It's ambitious. But it started with a kid watching car shows and thinking "I want to build that." Now we're making it possible for everyone.
